Hello everyone! Happy New Year! I hope you were able to spend some good time with the people you love for the holidays. I honestly really enjoy the first few weeks around the new year because it feels so fresh and just naturally provides excitement for change through any resolutions I may set. I think there is something about this idea of a new start that naturally draws my attention and gives me hope. Similar to why we are naturally drawn to the middle of Lamentations reading that God's mercies are new every morning. But change can take a long time, and that is immediately what the author or Lamentations reminds us that "'The Lord is my portion' says my soul, 'therefore I will hope in him.' The Lord is good to those who wait for Him. I like to be nostalgic and reflect on my previous year at the start of a new one. Whether you are eagerly going into 2026, excited for what could be in store, or barely making it out of 2025, be encouraged that change can be a slo...
